In that same time, our users have grown from managing one map to managing thousands, requiring new ways to organize, structure and manage their work inside of Felt.

Today we are announcing powerful new tools for administrators to keep teams organized at every scale, and a streamlined billing experience you can set up now, to ensure continued access on January 1.

A checkout flow as easy as the rest of Felt

Every aspect of Felt is designed for ease of use – including our checkout flow. All the information you need to pick your plan, set member permissions, manage your data and enter your credit card details can be found in your Workspace settings. You can make your selection now and your card will not be charged until 2024.

Alongside this checkout flow, we are releasing a powerful dashboard that gives workspace admins a fast and easy way to manage data storage. The dashboard includes what files have been uploaded, their size, and what maps are using those files. With this information at your fingertips, you can quickly determine if a file should be kept or deleted to make more room. If you exceed your plan’s data storage limit, delete files or contact our sales team at sales@felt.com for additional storage.

New ways to keep teams organized at any scale

Teams that adopted Felt for a single project are now introducing Felt to whole new departments. Users gave us feedback that they needed new ways to organize all the project work going on in their Felt workspace and that they wanted seamless ways to grant access to both internal and external collaborators.

We’ve taken this feedback and made it easier to organize your members and maps, no matter the scale of your organization, by introducing Workspaces, Projects and Folders. Every map lives in a Workspace, and maps can be grouped together in Projects and/or further grouped in Folders.

Projects were introduced to better match your workflow. Mapping work is often project-based, with new efforts starting and stopping all the time. Now you can group your project’s finalized maps in a simple, straight-forward way, accessible to the larger organization to self-serve as needed.

Enabling powerful new permissioning options

Projects are more than a way to organize your maps — they unlock a new set of access controls for internal and external collaborators. Rather than add external collaborators to an individual map, you can now give them access to the subset of maps they need related to your work together. They will be able to see the maps you organize in the Project space, but not be granted access to the entire workspace.

Projects can also be made private to control which members have access inside the workspace. This new level of detailed permissioning is great when you want a private area for a single department, or to cordon off work that is private within your company. The private Project is only visible to members or your organization with access. You even have the ability to set editor and viewing permissions at the Project level.
