TL;DR To make Felt easier to adopt for growing teams with larger data needs, we’re introducing a new Team plan ideal for teams with less than 3 editors and up to 25 members. This new plan includes 25GB of data hosting as well – all for $200/month annually (or $250 monthly). Existing Starter and Pro plan customers will transition to the new plan in January 2025. Non-profits can upgrade to a special $250/year plan version of the Team plan starting July 31 to support all the great work you do. Felt remains 100% free for educational and classroom use. If you’re on a Free plan, your plan isn’t changing, and you have a free 14-day trial of Team kicking off today.
Over the last year, we learned a lot about how organizations adopt GIS. Spoiler alert: it’s not aligned with how the geospatial industry prices software. Plans have rigid licensing requirements that don’t scale well, and that create bottlenecks and access issues. All on top of being difficult to use and implement. This is a tough sell for teams in the early stages of adopting a new GIS tech stack across their operations.
At Felt we’ve offered a free plan since day one. It’s the best way to make and share maps in your personal life. But our paid plans were priced based on how many people you had on your account. It was a simple calculation, and we like to keep things simple. Or we thought it was simple. Turns out, our old plans made you think long and hard about who gets access and who doesn’t.
Does Lana from Sales have access to make staffing decisions for new hires in the Northeast? Or do we give access to Renado from operations to align management on global shipping routes? What about external stakeholders outside the organization? Our intuitive UI isn’t so useful if only a few people have access to it.
So today we’re introducing a new plan that bundles up our most popular GIS features into a package the whole team can use. The new Team plan includes 25 people, 3 of which can be editors. And 25 GB of data hosting so you can Upload Anything and experience the magic of our processing engine as it transforms raw data into visualizations. Felt now supports 100+ file types, including vector and raster files–from tables of geospatial data, to high-res satellite imagery.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do I know which plan is right for me?
The Team plan is ideal for teams up to 25 people, with up to 3 editors, who need a powerful modern GIS platform. The Enterprise plan also includes database connections (Postgres, Snowflake, and more), dashboards, and 1TB of storage. See the pricing page for a complete comparison.
Does anything change if I’m on an existing Starter or Professional plan?
Nothing changes until we transition fully to the new plans in January 2025. Customers on Starter or Professional plans can upgrade to the new Team plan today for a flat $200/month annually (or $250 monthly). Or you can stay on your existing plan with its current data upload limits (500MB on Starter and 10GB on Pro).
I’m on the Starter/Professional plan tier, how do I upgrade to the new Team plan today?
You can contact us directly here to upgrade to the new Team plan today.
Are there any changes on the Free plan?
The Free plan isn’t changing with these updates. It’s still the best way to make and share maps in your personal life. Starting today, you’ll also have a 14-day free trial of Team activated on your account. You can kick the tires on features like Upload Anything, and either upgrade, or do nothing and go right back to the Free plan after the trial expires.
Is there any special pricing for non-profits, or educational/classroom use?
Yes! On July 31, 2024 we’re launching a new plan for non-profits: all the same benefits of the Team plan above but for just $250/year. Plus you can embed maps on your website to highlight the great work you’re doing for the planet. Start the verification process using our form, then create a Team trial and we’ll switch you over on July 31.
Using Felt for educational and classroom use remains 100% free. You can learn more about our educational plans and resources, including a new Fundamentals of GIS course, at Felt for Education, and get verified here.
